So excited for summer!

Since today was so nice out we decided to go for a bike ride. But before we could enjoy the outdoors we had to clean the house. I took Brady upstairs to clean his room. (Note: We have a corner down on our main floor that Brady has to sit in when he cries for no reason. So when he starts crying we ask him if he wants to sit in the corner and cry and he usually says no and stops crying.) Well when we were upstairs cleaning his room I kept telling him to help me and he said, "I cry." He wanted to go downstairs to sit in the corner so he could get out of cleaning his room. That little stinker has already figured out how to work our system.

So after we cleaned the house we got on our bikes and went for a very long bike ride. During the bike ride we stopped at a small park and played for a little bit. We got back on our bikes and then we rode home.

Once we got home we got drinks and jumped in the car and went to a bigger park.

After that park we went to the dog park.

Finally we ended the day with some ice cream!

We had a really long, but fun day. We are so excited to have the whole summer ahead of us to spend outside.

I was sitting downstairs while Brady was supposed to be going to sleep up in his room. He started screaming but it sounded really muffled so I had no idea what could be going on. I ran upstairs and found him stuck upside down in his bin of stuffed animals. I tried so hard to hold back my laughter but I had no such luck. Brady did not find the situation funny at all until Timothy reenacted it, at which point Brady thought it would be the perfect time to run into our room and try to go to sleep in our bed. Didn't work.

We were going up to bed the other night and when Timothy flipped on the
light, this is what we found:

Funny Conversations

Brady found a small, unimportant piece of paper which led to this conversation:

Brady: "This mine?"
Me: "Yea if you want it."
Brady: "Ok! Thank you Mommy!"

The smallest things make him happy.

Later during lunch we were each eating a turkey sandwich and we took turns taking bites.
After he took a bite I said, "Good bite!"
After I took a bite he said, "Good bite!" He made me put down the sandwich and then he ordered, "Chew, chew!" After that he said, "Good job."

Haha who is the parent?

Brady never ceases to amaze me

Brady has been potty trained during the day for awhile now, we have just been working on staying dry during naps and night time. Well, today Brady was up taking his nap and with all the wind I didn't hear him leave his room. He later came downstairs, with no diaper on, and told me that he went poo poo. I asked him if he had an accident in his bed and he said no with a smile. I quickly ran upstairs to check out the damage. On the way to his bedroom I noticed a diaper on the bathroom floor. I picked it up and it was completely dry. I then looked in the toilet and found that he had actually gone to the bathroom in there. He was just then coming up the stairs and I asked him if he had stayed dry during his nap and he said "Yes!" with a huge smile. I got all excited and we went downstairs to have a treat.
He got up from his nap and went potty all by himself. My little baby is growing up so fast!

He also tries really hard to be polite. If he does something for me I will thank him and then he says to me "your welcome," and if I don't answer him he will say again, "your welcome mommy," until I hear him and acknowledge what he said to me :)

And Brady is our little cheerleader. Timothy and I have a home workout program that requires us to do pull-ups on a pull-up bar in our house. Brady stands right by us and says "Good job! Do it, Do it!"
