Baby Genius

Have you seen the movie Baby Geniuses? Well Brady reminds me of those babies. Don't worry I am not being biased.

Brady has already learned how to drive.

Brady could probably become a professional pool player at any minute.

He has already learned the art of skating on a ketchup bottle.

Trouble makers

Many of you probably think that we were crazy to have gotten a puppy. Well you are right. Between Brady chasing Kaya up the stairs and Kaya attacking Brady with kisses we have our hands full. But as crazy as it sounds, Kaya actually helps entertain Brady.

Most of the time Kaya blocks Brady from getting past the first step but this time she was slacking. She looks for any opportunity to run upstairs and so does Brady.

They both enjoy watching out the window even though Kaya goes crazy at the sight of a squirrel.

Kaya really does love Brady but she is kind of clumsy. She knocks him down often and jumps right on top of him into his carseat. He didn't mind until she tried to lay down.

They even try to steal our food. Timothy had to put his hamburger on his head to keep it away from our two little beggars.

More cruise pictures.

This is our ship. The Carnival Fantasy.

We found a cool towel animal in our room everyday.

We spent most of our time at the pool and sliding down these waterslides. During one of our days at sea I sprayed sunscreen on Timothy's back very quickly in sort of a zig zag pattern. His back burned opposite that pattern. He still has those accidental tan lines.

We spent a day touring the ruins.

And climbing them. Yes we did climb up these and of course had to come back down.

We made a friend at the beach. She wasn't very nice. Timothy was brave enough to hold her with the risk of getting bit.

I had to try on a sombrero.

Cruise

Well Liz and I got back from our cruise to Mexico a couple weeks ago. It was a lot of fun and we're looking forward to the next one (even though it may be a while). We missed Brady a lot (he stayed back home with my sister, Brianne) and Liz thinks we should take him along next time but im not sure I like that idea.

First stop on the cruise was Progreso, Mexico. This port wasn't too great. Its sorta still in development so it was a little boring and dirty. While there we decided to go the the Uxmal Mayan ruins. This was pretty cool to see their culture and all of the lizards running around.

The next morning we arrived in Cozumel. Liz had been looking forward to this day for a while because she was going to be able to swim with the dolphins. We went to the dolphin discovery, a big place where the dolphins were and also a hotel thing , and liz swam with the dolphins. She got to kiss them and get in the water with them. They pulled her through the water by their fins and they also picked her up by her feet with their noses and pushed her. It was pretty cool and a time she wont forget.

After Dolphin Discovery we went to paradise beach. While we were there we got to play with all of their water toys, go snorkeling, and enjoy the sun. fte that we headed back to the port where we did all of our shopping. The prices on things were good but not as good as I thought. Maybe we went to the wrong places but I had to haggle them down on a couple of prices.

The last day of the cruise was a "fun day at sea" where we just relaxed by the pool and went down all the water slides. A couple of nights they had variety shows so we went and saw those and we also tried our luck on the slots in the casino. Fail.

Float Trip

Timothy and I went on a canoe trip last weekend with some friends. We had a great time. We spent all day Saturday floating down a river in Missouri and of course jumping off of things into the water. We took our dog and she loved it. But, she had a bit of an accident. We found a small cliff to jump off of so we got out of the canoes and kayaks and climbed to the top. Kaya came with and started running around. Then, when we found a place to jump off, one of our friends started running toward the edge. Well, Kaya tried to follow him but she didn't make it to the water. She started rolling down the side. We climbed down and brought her back up but she was still a little scared. She cried for awhile but she is just fine now. It seems like her and Brady both need a lesson about falling off of things.

So the other day I woke up and went to get some cereal. After pouring my cereal I went to get some milk but I didn't See it in the fridge. I was sure we had quite a bit of milk left and I knew we didn't use it all. I asked Liz where the milk was and she said with an attitude, "um, in the fridge." After I told her it wasn't there we looked around and were puzzled at where the milk could have gone. She had just used it a couple minutes ago for her breakfast so it has to be somewhere. Well, it turns out Liz needs a little more sleep, we found the milk...

Brady went to the big swimming pool for the first time the other day. We have a small blow up pool in the back patio area but we didn't know how he would like the bigger, colder pool. The pool itself was a little too cool for him. He didn't cry about it but we could tell that we wasn't comfortable. The hot tub wasn't being used and the water was warm, not hot, so we decided to see how he liked it. He did well and I think we will take another trip soon.

Brady also likes to be perched on our couch and look out the window at the trees!

For everyone who is not able to be with us everyday, here is an update.
Brady is 6 months old and the cutest boy in the world!

He loves to jump in his jumper, but it kind of wears him out.

He has started to crawl, but hasn't quite mastered it yet.

We got a new puppy! Her name is Kaya.

Brady has a little pool and is training to be the next Michael Phelps.

We have finally joined the blogging world!

Here you go...A way to keep updated on our family!
We will try to post as often as possible.
We hope you enjoy!
